The lightness of forged magnesium meets the typically racing design of the 9-spoke wheels, for a pair of rims clearly inspired by the Superbike world. Do not mistake these rims for cast magnesium alloy, as forged magnesium wheels are stronger, more durable, and much lighter than cast magnesium. Forged magnesium wheels will not have the typical cavities and cracks that you would find in casting, and a forged wheel does not crack and can be repaired if necessary. With forged magnesium, this will prolong the lifetime of your brakes and brake pads due to the essential nature and characteristics of magnesium providing quicker heat dissipation from the wheels and brake system. Contrary to carbon fiber, forged magnesium wheels are accepted on practically every race circuit thanks to their outstanding toughness. Type-approved for single-seater use on the road, they are the result of the combination of technical racing features with strict standards for type-approval as original equipment.
Compared to the traditional aluminium alloy version, the exclusive material of this accessory ensures a reduction in weight by 3 kg. (-33%) compared to standard motorcycle versions and 0.7 kg. (-10%) compared to S and R versions. Moreover, it ensures a reduction in inertia by 40% (vs standard) and 12% (vs S and R), thus improving the vehicle dynamics and the changes of direction, to optimise performance and riding feeling.
